Doom Breaks Down Dade

#1- South Dade

The Jedi nation that is South Dade is lead by its own version of the Fantastic Four. Tico with his freakish strength is "The Thing". And then there is Sanders, whose flexibility and unorthodox wrestling style makes him "Mr. Fantastic". Next is The Rat whose speed and agility resembles that of the "Human Torch" And if any body on that team is somewhat invisible it is Omi Acosta. Invisible in the sense that he is over looked and underrated. These four along a host of other Freakazoids (King Kong, Capt. Caveman, and T-Rex) look to lead this nation to the promise land. If the second tier soldier’s progress like the soldiers before them they will not only own the land we call Dade but the land of Lakes as well! Only time will tell.

#2- South Ridge

The Evil Empire is in the process of building back its Death Star and the completion of the project is sooner than the galaxy expected. The return of Chewbacca aka "Black" and the nasty little hood rat they call "Mushroom" inject a much needed "EVIL" back into a not so evil Empire. They join an already talented group of Storm troopers prepared to take back the Galaxy that was once theirs. If the Evil Spartan Empire can stay healthy and allow their soft spoken leader to lead them they will be a threat to the South Dade Nation. If you listen closely you could probably hear Balma-solo's sphincter tightening up now!

#3- Braddock

Like in years past the Braddock Federation will have a formidable army. They are lead by two Ja-Wa sized Jedi who are battle tested and ready for future "Dade Wars". One Jedi is dedicated to his art form, hardworking, and is fully committed to defeating his opponents while the other, lets just say is not so committed and has grown into a weight where men not boys will compete. Braddock will look for big things from the twin's side kick Mario Montoto. His development and ability to compete in a weight class he is to small for will be crucial for the Federation to keep up with the Evil Empire and South Dade Nation. No Army in the Dade Wars does a better job will average warriors and their Leaders should be commended.

#4- Southwest

The Purple People Eaters of Sou-Wey are a mirror image of the Braddock Federation. They too are lead by twin Jedi seasoned and ready to keep the tradition going for the West. Along with Uxsun and Danielsun Sou-Wey will go to war with the not so level headed, hulker spitting, Jonathan Olivera who is capable of anything. I think Mr. Guliesian is still washing his face from that incident. Mix in a few Gonzalez's, Hernandez's, Diaz's, and a Smith and you have the recipe for success. If only they could just find the "Magic Water Fountain" of years past!

#5- Columbus

The Evil Darth Husktor is still up to his tricky ways ransacking, plundering and pillaging every middle school within a 30 mile radius of his new institution. I guess though when you are 75 years old it is now or never. A new army that all of Dade county is going to "love to hate" the Explorers look to become a new elite power in the Dade Wars. But if recruiting from the local middle schools wasn't bad enough these guys take it to another level. I guess they think that their "Explorer" name means that they must explore the stands during the GMAC, Dade Challenge, and Regional tournaments for potential Columbus wrestlers. That right Coaches while you are out there coaching your warriors their parents are talking to your kid's parents about the benefits of a private school education, or the religious benefits, or the benefits of surrounding themselves with doctors and lawyers. Hold on tight to that which is yours my friends because before you know it the WOLF may get your sheep. All this aside the "NEW" Evil Empire is building strength, gaining momentum and ready to do some damage. Although it is the good doctor's belief that Ole Darth Husktor may be losing his touch. How in the world does he fail to negotiate a contract with the two best athletes coming out of middle school after bringing them in on recruiting visits and everything? I heard on ESPN that Drew Rosenhaus was the athlete's agent and that Darth Husktor wouldn't throw in the new Lexus that the parents were demanding.

Stay Tune for more.....

Doc, I can't argue with you on much but I wonder if you are forgettig about Southwest and Columbus. I know that Southridge will be tough in just about every weight class. I also know that Braddock always has a good team and they always finish well at the regionals tournament. But what do they have that can compete in a tournament setting that can beat teams like Columbus and Southwest. Yes they have the twinkies and maybe Montoto and Perez, but besides then who can really make a splash. Southwest has a pair of twinkies themselves while Columbus has more than just a couple of twinkies, they have the dark huskter.

I'm waiting on the rest of Doom's preview, be patient, he is very diligent in his work.

Braddock has a very similar team to what beat both Southwest and Columbus in both Districts and Regionals last year.

I don't think any TEAM in District 15 does more TEAMwork during the summer/off season.

Braddock is similar to South Dade. They have had some really good wrestlers for years and every year some fresh from JV wreslter steps up and everyone asks "where did he come from".

They had 6 wrestlers go at least 6 - 3 at the Disney Duals, but yet people are only talking about 3 of them. They have a couple of GMAC Placers that no one is mentioning.

Those are some great points KW, and it's why I think Moonie is over looking them.

Spidey,

Check you EZ Mail Box, I have a present for you.

OK Your pre-season list is up. Hey we need to get the word out to the rest of the state, right now it's mostly Miami boys hangin out here, any ideas. WINK!

DR. DOOM said...

Moon Knight,
Braddock has two State Champs who will score bonus points in almost every match another state qualifier and future state placer along with Perez, Fernandez, Villalobos, Pineyro and Baltodano. Now I know those names might not jump out at you right now but mark my words they will be known come the end of the year.

I think you are giving the old man too much credit. Columbus has Guliesian and Rio who the last time I check aren't state champs. Nodar and Abadin can compete and the rest are pretty soft and untested. You must be expecting big things from Pena, Otero, Davis and Rabaza!

Spiderman said...

Doom,

Do you get the feeling Moonie is being a little hard headed, or maybe he has a little explorer in his blood? What do you think?

Moon Knight said...

I may give the old guy too much credit but he man has earned it. He has built a pretty good program there at Columbus. I just don't see him coming in less than 4th in the region. I know Southwest, Southridge, and Braddock. I just feel that it is time for Columbus.

CoachKW said...

Moonie,

Realize that Husk is in uncharted territories at Columbus. He does not have the same natural resources that he used to build the Empire at Southridge.

Spiderman said...

Moonie,

I like the old guy too, but if you keep this up you may have to get your lips stapled to his ass. LOL!!! I think Columbus is a top 5 team, but not top 3, for all the reasons KW and Doom do, but if you are correct and we are wrong, I will be the first to give you your props. I did say in one of my articles that I thought Columbus would soon be a state power, and while that may have been premature at least for this season, I still see the potential, it's just that much as KW describe, he does not have the natural resources that he had at SR. He has the advantage of recruiting that he did not have at SR, (no wait that's not true, he recruited more guys to SR in 1 year than he has at Columbus in 4) but he must be losing his magic because some big names have fallen through that could have done for Columbus what you are suggesting, Earl Hall among them.

Moon Knight said...

hmmpphtt. I just got my lips unstapled. LOL. I just think that they are the ones that have to step up this year. They have been at the cusp for the past two years and now its time. Call it a hunch, call it intuition, call it what ever you want but I just see them doing better than the other teams you guys are talking about.

Spiderman said...

3 against 1, I don't really like your odds, but if you are correct it will be sweet vindication for you. Hey man we need to get the owrd out, it being just the three of us over here is not going to cut it long run, what about you make a subtle mention of it ont he boards. Like hey anybody seen Spidey lately?

Hey Doom, I meant to ask but forgot, how'd you like your picture on you rankings?

Bad Ass I would say...

HOMESTEAD! HOMESTEAD! HOMESTEAD! WE COMING.

Spiderman said...

Nice to see some Broncos on here, I too think Homestead will make a splash, what with those Fab Freshman and what they have returning it should be very interesting for them. He Homestaed lover, feel free to get an alias so next time we know it's you. Here are are some suggestions, Rodeo Rider, Bronco Billy, Can't Be Riddin, or something else you might find appealing. But just so when you visit we know (anonymously of course) who you are every time. Hope to see more of you around here.

Sorry, I forgot a couple of teams. Let me finish to ten.
8. MH - Plenty of returners
9. HS - Word of mouth, they are going to be tough
10. NMB - By now they should have a couple of kids

Spiderman said...

Anonymous,

Miami High I can maybe see in the top 10, it would not be a shocker. Homestead definitely, up and commers come thorugh and they could be trouble. But NMB, come on now, put down the pipe, you went too far. Severe still has to prove he can do it without Phillips, at best it's an experiment, top 10... I don't think so, you'd have been less high had you thrown American in there.

Miami Senior will without a doubt make a serious impact this year. Frank B. at 103, Guzman at 112, Alvarez at 160, Jonathan K. at 171 plus a few tough unknowns. This is still a young team that works very hard.

Spiderman said...

Anonymous,

I hope you are still the same anonymous, I am getting the feeling that there are more than one of you. LOL!!!

Anyway, I like Miami High as well, that little dude does a pretty good job and they are getting better every year. I used to like to watch him wrestle, he was tough as nails, and had the heart of a lion. He has made himself into a pretty good coach as well, I look forward to watching Miami High develope over the coming years.

That I remember about the Miami High School Coach was that he was not that impression on the mat. He is doing a better job coaching. Don't get me wrong, I think he is a Great guy. Unlike many coaches in dade that are two face and talk shit about each other. My two cents.

Spiderman said...

Anonymous,

Is this the same anonymous as before or are you a different anonymous, or are you the anonymous from before that other time?

I thought it was him I remember as a wrestler but it may have been his cousin I was referring too, they are very similar in stature so I could be mistaken. In any case, he has done a very good job with his kids, and has put Miami High in the upper third of Dades teams.

As for what you have to say about the coaches, OUCH! Sounds like you might be a coach yourself to have that kind of information. Strong words, anyone specifically you are reffering too? Without using names of course, I'm sure a hint or two would lead us to the culprit or culprits as it were.

'many coaches in dade are two face and talk shit about each other'. i hear you pal. that group that hang with each other in matches. they always talk $hit about people.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Anonymous's line-up. I don't know if American should be ranked 4th or not, but I definitely believe that American can beat Columbus, without a doubt. From 135 to HWT, American will win for sure (with the exception of 189.. maybe).

RYU,

Welcome to the boards and thanks for your comments.

I can't say I agree, but we shall see.
