Spidey, The poll only allows you to vote for one person! Is that how you wanted it?
In this order: 1. Johnson - The Man knows his $hit! 2. Valls - listens well to all parties and knows the rules 3. Wimberly - great experience with wrestling in general and patience when dealing with coaches 4. Baldwin - very neutral 5. Pardo - has improved greatly over the years (thanks to johnson)
Balmeceda - DEAD LAST! (First as a coach, but not an even decent offical. just awful!)
I have just been notified by e-mail that I left off Mr. Jay Flinchum. My apologies to Mr. Flinchum but the person that sent me the list of names for the poll forgot to include him. If you feel Mr. Flinchum should be on the top 5 list, please vote for only four and then place a note here on the comments section and I will count his votes as write in votes; they will be tallied.
1.Johnson 2.Wimberly 3.Baldwin 4.Pardo/Spiderman 5.Baldmeceda. The first 3 could be all #1. I like Wilbert because doesn't take any shit.I wouldn'tput Flinchum in my top thousand.PS.one of the anonimous(anonimi?)Quit being an asshole and stop with Osorio or identify yourself. If you like you can use that energy against Soderholm
It is really a shame to see some Kennels and some dogs fighting amongst themselves.Let's compete in the shows and then go back to our kennels knowing we are all dogs.I love all dogs. You should too.
Absolutely he is. And did you know that when he farts it smells like Fresh cut flowers, when he spits on the ground a rose grows in that place, and if he eats after dark and sweats on the mat State champions spring up like Gremlins. Hey that last part really is true.
In my most humble opinion, I believe that Johnson is the best official today. Very strict and knows the rules and how to apply them.
Baldwin is second. Fun to watch in a match and eases into discussions with the coaches. He actually looks like he is having the time of his life out there.
Balmaceda/Pardo. Haven't had the pleasure of watching them officiate but I'm quite sure that they know what a coach feels like so I can assume that their understanding of the coaches point of view is well respected.
Mr. FLinchum, he is one of those officials who seem to know and understand the rules extremely well but lacks in the application of the rules department. It might just be my point of view but I would like to see if anyone else agrees with me.
Reneri, I also think he should be among the top. Wimberly and a host of others are also very good. Unfortunetly I haven't had the time to watch them officiate. One thing is very true, once you get out of Dade county the officating is not as even nor as good. You can say what you want but it seems that Dade county has the most amount of great officials. Maybe it might be due to the fact that they officiate some of the hardest duals and tournaments thoughout the season that makes them so keen in their abilities.
Scratch that, I just love the way Baldwin works. I think I would just go to matches to see him jump and roll and gesture his calls. He is by far my favorite. I apologize if I sound a bit biased but He is just so much fun to watch.
The fact the Tirso Valls is leading this poll right now shows that the readers of this blog have no freaking clue about anything. While I'll admit Valls is a very personable guy, was a great wrestler, but as an official he is horrible. There is a reason he doesn't do the bigh matches in Dade County or the big tournaments.
I agree with an earlier post that mentioned that there are plenty of refs that are racist and biast. I have seen numerous wrestlers and coaches that have gotten screwed. Besides that Dades refs are not consistant and horrible.
You guys are forgetting that when a reader votes he selects 5 different officials. Valls is likely the most personable and least controversial official on that list. Some voters may not like Johnson who may be perceived as abrasive, Dewberry who may be perceived as intimidating, Pardo who may be perceived as bias, or Balmeceda who may be perceived as arrogant. Valls on the other hand might be the 5th guy on everyone list which as the votes are tallied leaves him with most votes over all. Someone who does not vote for one of the aforementioned because of some personal conflict would not have the same problem with Valls.
In any case, I am glad this poll has turned out to be so popular, my thanks to the reader that suggested it.

No!
My apologies, I made a mistake in the setup.
Thank you for catching that error.
I've corrected the problem and the poll is now ready to go.
In this order:
1. Johnson - The Man knows his $hit!

3. Wimberly - great experience with wrestling in general and patience when dealing with coaches

Spidey you forgot probably the best official out there.
Tussi
I don't now that I spelled that right
Anonymous,
I did not mention Tucci because he is a Broward official now.
But I would agree that he is one of the best.

Moonie,
Nice Breakdown.
I'm sorry but Reneri is probably the worst official in Dade. His bias when officiating is obvious. Off the mat he seems like a nice guy though.
The top 3
1) Johnson
2) Dewberry
3) It's a toss up, but I"ll go with Baldwin.

Tirso doesn't do big tournaments because for personal reasons he is not available to be assigned matches on Saturdays.
I agree with an earlier post that mentioned that there are plenty of refs that are racist and biast. I have seen numerous wrestlers and coaches that have gotten screwed. Besides that Dades refs are not consistant and horrible.
