The Polls close and the results are in.

I believe the way the polls closed clearly reflects the level of respect for the top 5 most honorable and ethical coaches, furthermore, I believe it is very accurate representative of was is actual and verifiable.

Mike Turner (HML) – Not only does he run one of, if not the cleanest, program in the state, he wins or loses with what belongs to him. He is a man of high integrity and superior moral fiber when it comes to how he runs his ship. It is not hard to see that he easily outdistanced most coaches on the poll and is the most highly recognized figure of Ethical and Honorable behavior. No skeletons to speak of.

Moises Rivera (SUN) – Not too far behind Turner in the polls, and just as (if not more) committed to doing the right thing. Even though Rivera has been hurt quite frequently in the past by the pilfering of some of his top wrestlers, he has refused to take the same short cuts to get ahead himself. Rivera is unphased by the allure of the Dark side; it’s obvious that his principles as an honorable man mean more to him than any state title. No skeletons to speak of.

Tejada (BRD) - Not in the same league as Rivera and turner, but still clean enough to be well thought of and well respected by the wrestling community. If he has gotten any wrestlers tat Braddock that did not belong to him (The Chandlers) everything was obviously done above board and thorough. There have been rumors in the past that some of sunset’s and Varela’s finest were turning up at Braddock, but that is obviously not enough to dissuade the positive opinion Tejada has earned. Skeletons include the Chandlers, the Perez brothers, and maybe one or two others I can not readily remember.

Gonzalez (MIA) - A bright new star on the wrestling front. I think he would have gotten more votes if he were better known. I have heard rumors that one or two that have wrestled for him belonged elsewhere, and there might be one on the team right now, but I don’t know the program well enough to state specifics. Still, his quick rise into the top 10 along with his the respect level he is receiving for his ethical behavior is to be commended. Skeletons… I could not name any.

Mendez (SW) – Right there with Tejada and Gonzalez in regards to the consensus. Though back in the day when he started out as a junior high coach he was not seen in the same light. Since his arrival at South West however, he has maintained a well balanced and above board program. He has had a few wrestlers represent him that were not of his area, but again all matters were taken care of above board and through the proper channels. Skeletons include, Yandi Gonzalez, the Castro brothers, and the DeArmas brothers.

Ask Owen or McDonald about Tejada's skeletons and you may have a few new names you did not know.

Anyone care to play?

I want to play. You have nothing on Braddock when it comes to CP. Don't start any nonsense.

Let us begin with...

Sanchez. Owen cried on many shoulders on this one. He claims it was some type of an "agreement" with Tejada and Tejada was not to take anymore of "his" kids.

More later... maybe.

OUCH!

Nice job DA!

Keep it coming now; the truth is paramount on this site, we are not afraid to step on toes over here, in fact, I quite encourage it.

Spiderman said...

Other Spidey,

Thanks also for promoting my site. But be careful, you could get kicked off for that. Although, with the Sheriff having been stripped of his badge, I think you may not have any problem at all.

To myself
Thank you for the invite I would love to be part of your website.

Come on devil's advocate. That is bull Sanchez and everyone in Braddock belongs to Braddock. You are making sh!t up. Get a life.

Spiderman said...

Come on in then, and since you are promoting my Blog on the other site, you might as well add my link over there like you did with the FKu link over here. Though I warn you again, you could lose your privilages.

We do not fear competiton over here, our site will thrive or sink to it's demise based on it's merits, and not on weather someone promotes the living dead site of FKu.

DA,

It would be nice to have some more pertinent facts on Sanchez. Like what area Snachez lived in (without a specific address of course). And Bulldog, maybe you can do the same, don't just tell him he is full of $hit, present your evidence.

Anonymous said...

I don't have to present anything the burden af proof is on DA he is the one with the accusations. OUCH!
We are innocent until proven guilty.

Spiderman said...

Killer,

You are correct sir.

The burdon of proof would be on the Devil.

My only advice is to be careful what you wish for.

And if the Sanchez thing was true which it isn't. All of a sudden one recruit makes us the bad guy. Again good luck DA.

This is ridiculous!!!

I think all have been accused of some crime from time to time. Some seem to get away with it because they fail to ruffle the right kind of feathers. Unless my informants are incorrect Carlos Montero did not belong to Coral Gables High. One kid and a suspicious coach cannot raise the interest of the true crime bosses who work for bigger prizes.

LOL!!!!!!!! is mini tejita suppose to be Sergio. AAAAAHHHHHHHHH

Spiderman said...

KingPin,

Well said.

Anonymous said...

I get it. Mini tejita as in Tejada/he kinda has a mullet. Brilliant, but why would Sergio give himself this nickname.

Anonymous said...

All crime bosses recruit. Its a fact of life. Wether its overt or covert, they all do it. As a coach you look for the best wrestlers/ athletes you can find. I remember when Vito took enrico diazilo from joelangelo and guiseppe. he! he!

Spiderman said...

Anonymous,

THe thing is if you are going to start an investigation into the dealing of another organization, you better make sure the skeletons in your own closet has been cleaned out.

Of all the programs you mentioned, only Sunset is squeeky clean, and Rivera does not strike me as the type to go after anyone.

I think Rivera probably and accurately believes he is above the petty antics that are involved in leveling allegations, especially if there is an underlying conspiracy to protect those you'd be accusing.

Don't bet on anything coming of all this innuendo, there is a new Teflon Don in town, and now that he is a Jedi Master, a simple mind trick can subvert any action against his Temple.

I've only been here 2 years now, but I know how things have been done.

First, there is nothing illegal about the Chandlers at Braddock. Yes they live in a different school zone, but they applied and were admitted into the IT Magnet program at Braddock as 9th graders. If this is illegal the entire Coral Reef team is illegal.

In regards to the Perez brothers. What people don't realize or don't know, is that even when a new school opens up and you get rezoned for it, if you have a sibling that still goes to the original school you can be granted access to the original school based on hardship or a grandfathering in clause. Parents make choices all the time about where their kids will go based on transportation issues, and sometimes pay no attention to athletics. That is what happened with a lot of would be Ferguson athletes in their first couple of years.

I don't know the whole story on the previous wrestlers, but I do know that a couple of them fit in to this case.

I'm not sure which skeletons that Owen and McDonald have on Braddock. I know Owen was a Doolin in the late 90s and I believe he is given some credit for the success that Braddock had in the early 2000s. It is always helpful when 9th graders come in with a wrestling background. Coach McDonald is a great guy, but he was one of the original coach/"crime bosses". The stories he can tell and the rules coaches now have to follow go hand in hand sometimes.

It is also amazing how parents putting their kids into a school legit through a magnet or requesting an assignment gets the coaches blamed for recruiting.

Anonymous,
Sunset doesn’t possess the right amount of firepower to stake a claim to the top spot in the county’s turf wars. Father Moises will just allow the war to happen without intervining. He prays and hopes that the current bosses simply kill themselves off. An egalitarian community filled with honest mob bosses is what he dreams of. A paradox if ever there was one.

Homestead boss has no claim to any of his former hitmen. Hitmen work on contracts and his ability to pay them was short lived. He attempted to rise up against the southern boss but was squashed and now his family is in shambles and his turf engulfed by the Vito Balmaseda family.

Columbus’s Huskatoni won’t publicly stand up to Vito’s moves because he knows what he has done this summer as well. He will prod and push others to do his dirty work but his informants and connections are old and dead for the most part. He will do his best to hold his ground. Being in so many turf wars in the past has given him the understanding that you just can’t win them all. He will reluctantly take a back seat to Vito’s family this time. Watch for him to make major moves this summer.

American’s Renzo will try to go to war with the Vito family this year and fail. He believes his time has come and his family is ready. Although he lacks the connections of Huskatoni or Balmaseda he believes he can win this turf war and claim his rightful spot as the top boss in Dade. Witchcraft, sorcery, and voo doo dolls have all been employed by this Cuban based family. Rumors of secret deals and back alley agreements spill out of this family. Leaks and secret double agents may be this family’s downfall.

Southridge failed in their bold attempt of recapturing the top spot in Dade last year and spent all their resources leaving them with little or nothing at all. Treachery and betrayal is all my informants have told me about the inner workings of that family. Head boss Johnson is more focused on keeping his godfather status in his family than on the turf war that’s eminently coming.

Turner or Rivera, either one could have been #1. Both have been around for a long time and their actions speak for themselves. I've even seen Turner end a match when his kid uses the twirly finger when on his back. Great coaches as well.

Tejada #3, not too sure about this. Can't take away his accomplishments, but I think many of his votes were popularity votes. After reading what the Devil has brought up although he is keeping much to himself, I don't know.

Gonzalez #4, I'm proud of this young man. I think with time and sooner than later he will be the next Rivera or Turner. I have spoken to him before on several occassions and I highly doubt he has taken anyone's kid. By the # of votes he recieved you can see he must be doing something right.

Mendez #5, I'm a little surprised he was not higher on the list. I guess his past hurt him at the polls. He is a hell of nice guy and has had plenty of success at SW. I'm happy to see that he is in the top 5.

As for everyone else, I think we have some great coaches in Dade County. It's just sad to see that because of the internet there is a tendency to smear them. As a spectator I do belive Dade County coaches should give each other a little more respect and credit for what they do from each oher. For example, We know Husk has been around for a while and has many state titles and Harris for example is fairly knew. They both need to be respected and appreciated for what they do because it is not an easy job. When there is another poll for anything try to leave your personal bias aside although it is hard to do and vote on the correct person. Overall great poll Spidey. Will you have any other soon.

KW don't be an idiot. We all know SD is doing everything by the book. We know the parents are enrolling them in the magnet program. It is not your typical recruiting because they can't be found guilty of recruiting, but everyone knows it's recruiting. The magnet program was created years ago for the purpose of athletes to go where they want to go they just don't say that. Miami High did it for ever in the early 90's in basketball and yes magnet programs have been around that long. They got greedy and even brought guys over from other countries and over age so they got busted. Rarely does a kid talk to his father and mother by themsleves and says I want to go to this school and wrestle. Someone always talks to someone and sometimes the relationship between coach and parent is developed when the the wrestler is still a kid.

Anonymous said...

So magnets schools were created for athletic programs to recruit? Wow that is pretty profound. You know what I think? I think Balmaceda is the one who invented magnet schools like Al Gore invented the internet. I also think that he went to each kids house like Butch Davis or Urban Myer and sat in their living rooms selling his school and when that wasn't enough he probably bought the family expensive cars or plasma tv's. I also read somewhere that he bought a bunch of condos in the South Dade school district just in case the athletes weren't accepted to the magnet. He is also responsible for bringing down Rudy Crew, the war in Iraq, 9/11, the recession and cancer.

Anonymous said...

Probably yeah, I think Balmaceda is capable of all that.

peeps we are getting off topic here. don't forget that Spiderman created this site to bash on Osorio and his recruiting. He has a bad a$$ team full of the best talent in dade and broward now and he finna pi$$ on us all. let's get the attention back on him please.

How about this for a pole? Who thinks that recruiting should be legal and part of building your wrestling program?
