Well anonymous (2) just beat me to it, but Sonny Gulesian is in the 7th grade.

Domingo Simmons is a new name being thrown out there, that would be interesing.

I don't know where Domingo would fit in. Mark Gulesian, Matt Noffo were also at 103 this past year, Kevin Gurevich was at 112, Louis Nodar was at 119, Jake Rio was at 125, George Gulesian was at 130, throw in Lazaro Borges also in the 119-130 pound range, that is a pretty tight group.

I could see Jake going 135 or 140, George at 130 or 135. With Nodar and Borges probably in the 125 or 130 pound classes. Mark should still be at 103, Matt growing up to 112. The only spot in need of some help might be 119, don't know if Gurevich would be big enough, don't know if Domingo would be big enough either.

Columbus really needs help in the upper weights, where they graduated 4 of the upper 6: Cruz 152, Koenig 160, Davis 171, and Rabaza 215. I would imagine Abadin at 215 and Wethy at 285, so that would leave some openings at 189, 171, and 160.

So to clarify on the first anonymous, Matt Noffo is already enrolled, Sonny Gulesian is 1 more year away from enrolling, Domingo could be the new one Superman was mentioning, but I don't see the point for either Simmons enrolling or Columbus going after him.

Do you see Columbus as one of the state title contendors?

Also George will probalay be at 130

145 Carlos Montero
152 Nick Martin Hildgao
160 ?

Columbus will be #3 in Dade next year at the most.

However, I do foresee American and South Dade battling it out for the title possibly next year, but for sure the next.

Venom,

That is a silly question to ask around these parts. If he wanted you to know he would have signed his name.

Speaking of which, Superman has not taken me up on my offer, but if you ever have anything valuable to contribute, I would be happy to give you your own spot on the main page to say it. I know I already put you up once back in December if I am not mistaken, but you had been M.I.A. for some time. Let me know...

Glad you are back, love the avatar

There’s going to be a lot of completion for varsity spots. Who will improve in the off season?

Anonymous said...

Pena should of cut this year to 135or 140 he has the weight to loose.

Anonymous said...

he couldn't cut to 135 this year, he tryed his sophmore year and was extremely weak and was better off at 40, but due to a coaches desicion he bumped to 145. this year yes your right he would have done better at 140 but he felt he wasn't gonna loose to the 2 people he did loose 2 in regionals
