Wow just off a fresh return and there is so much absorb I can only wing it, but that should be enough, after all I am the Spiderman.
103 – Holy crap what a stacked weight class! If we could qualify 6 wrestlers to state, we might take the top six stops. Villanueva is my favorite, but a big drop from 112 could leave him depleted. Ditto for Olivera, the one who maintains strength should be at the top of the podium Saturday night. However, it would behoove these fellows to head the Hall, this young stud can whip anyone of them to their back and spoil a sure thing.
112 – Not sure if Chandler is healthy yet, but if he is, even a rusty Chandler is better than the rest. Macphearson is dangerous as well, and Guzman is a little man that might be ready to step up if Chandler flinches.
119 – Less faith in the heavier chandler I have (damn sounds like Yoda), but I would not be shocked to see him win. Still, I feel this class belongs to Williams. Too much athletic ability, but can wear out and that is a concern. Watch out for Nodar as well, one slip and a lead and you will be reflecting on a loss.
(here is where it gets easy)
125 – Rat hands down
130 – Metellus (A little Birdy told me there might be a surprise entry in this class, but it’s hush hush so…)
135 – Tico
(Like rock stars these guys need just one name intro’s)
140 – Fontaine and Parrado, Fontaine and Parrado, Hummm…. I’ll go with the one who has better coaching
145 – Kendrick (Duh)
152 – No offense to Montalvo but he just doesn’t do it for me, edge to the Freshie I like Perez
160 – Passmore is hard to argue against, but Garcia could make it interesting
171 – Perez is finally too much, and Lilly will be left wanting
189 – Plain and Simple, this manimal, beast, whatever you want to call him will take care of business. If there was a pool for least amount of cumulative time wrestled by a G.M.A.C. champion, he would be my choice. Abadine should have stayed at 215.
215 – If Wiggins is Willing, the title is his despite his struggle of late. Abadine’s replacement could make it interesting, and if the South Miami 215 has progressed at all, he could be dangerous as well
275 – Chinchilla

Any reports from the G.M.A.C. Would be very welcome. I hope someone there has a lap top. I'll be there tomorrow, but it sure would be nice to know what is going on right now.

Team Scores before placing matches.
1 South Dade 307.5 Placed all 13, no hwt
2 Southridge 202 upper weights helped a little bit more depth than the other 4.
3 American 193.5 6 in the finals only bought 10.
4 Columbus 173.5 kids fought hard through the wrestlebacks. Louie, Jake, George, and Abadin all going for 3rd.
5 Braddock 173 Twin power helped, 3 in the finals not bad for a team being ranked 9th in the coutny a little while ago. Placed 6, but their newer wrestlers wrestled tought this weekend.

WOW!!!
What an event. I just felt I had to weigh in with that even though I rarely post on sundays.
I will have a much more in depth look tomorrow.
I have a feeling Spideydamus is going to have 9 to 11 chmaps coming out of Dade County this year. We'll see what he says in a few weeks, but I think this might be a record setting year for Dade county.
Spideysorio
Great tournament and congrates to South Dade. What happened to all those missing wrestlers? I noticed SW, SR, Am, Bra and Col were missing some guys. With those wrestlers in the line up, those team scores would have been different. Here are my predictions for the top 5 at Regionals
1. SD - 13
2. SR - 7
3. Col - 6
4. Am - 5
5. Bra - 5
For the first time in many years, there were not that many missing wrestlers. Especially in the top wrestlers and teams. The team that was affected the most was Southwest as they were with out both of their returning state qualifiers Olivera 103 and U Ramirez 135.
Southridge was missing Jerry Silva and the little Bell brother, but they were at least able to bring a 130 pounder.
Columbus was missing Allen Pena. Columbus only placed 4 in the top 4 Nodar, Rio, G Guelsian, and Abadin. M Gulesian, Rabaza, Davis were all close, but they will need to beat some people who just beat them to qualify for states.
American wasn't missing any of their heavy hitters. The weights they didn't bring, probably wouldn't have done much damage 119, 125, 140, 145. They put 6 wrestlers in the finals, plus high placings from Harris 103 and Perez 130, they should seen more than 5 to states.
South Dade didn't bring a hwt, but they placed all 13 in the top 4.
Braddock took 14 wrestlers and they seem to be getting back on track. They schuffled their upper weights and they all went deep in the bracket.
The brackets will decide who places where in regards to the team race.
Coach KW,
It was an incredible tournament with many great matches and great team competitions. I must have heard multiple teams in second and third thruout the two days of competition. South Dade was and is the cream of the crop.
Congratulations on a great tournament and even more cudos for the way in which you ran it. We should have all tournaments held at Braddock. Once again congratulations on an excelently ran tournament.
wrestling is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo GAY!!!!
