THE EXPLORERS SHALL PENETRATE THE STINGRAYS AS STEVE IRWIN NEVER COULD. WE DESTROYED THEM LAST YEAR AT AMERICAN AND WILL EXPLORE THEM AGAIN NOW. OUR RECRUITING OF WRESTLERS BELONGING TO SOUTHWEST WILL BE TOO MUCH FOR THE STINGRAYS! WE WILL DESTROY YOU AS WE DID TO ALL THE 1A SCHOOLS IN KEY WEST! (INSERT EVIL LAUGH HERE!!!!)

I told you to get an screen name Djarp, it was only a matter of time. BTW, I do believe this is the real you, who else could be so up Colombus's a$$.

Souwe' bombs again. Sunset opened a can on them. It doesn't seem like they have a strong dual team. Tournaments may be different, if they can get healthy enough. So far not very impressed. Did Chinchilla wrestle that match? What about Varona's boy from hammocks?

Columbus brags about their Key West victory, which is a joke, but I don't count them out. You gotta believe that the Husker knows what he's doing and they have some tough kids (and recruits) to work with. They will probably be a good dual team, but their real test will come in tournaments. Can their individuals step-up to the tsunami of Dade? I'm sure they will rack up plenty of wrestle-back points with maybe 1 or 2 in the finals of a real tournament.

People,

Now you guys have done it. Making fun of poor djarp and his anal preferences for being explored by the Huskster and his dark side. djarp went on another site and posted the results of the High v. Columbus. I think we just lost a member to the other side. Look if djarp wants to be probe anally by anyone it would be the explorers and not you guys who jumped on him thinking he would like it. Be nice and play nice.

By the way he wrote that the final score was Columbus 60 something to Miami High 16. I think that was the score. It would be nice to know how the match broke down. Was there any forfeits?

I also read that Palmetto wrestled The LORDS OF THE RINGS South Dade. How did that turn out. Any witnesses to the slaughter? KW any reports?

KW,

Please tell me you did not memorize all that, lest I think you have a beautiful mind.

Serioulsy though, you must be writing this stuff down for which we are greatly appreciative and in your debt.

Thanks for the match by match breakdown, if I were paying a reporter to cover the match I would not likely get the level of work which you provide for free.

THANKS!

Coach KW,

I conquer with my collegue in that your services are both greatly appreciated and impressive. Thank you very very much.

By the way, you sure as heck get around.

Took notes while I was there, but this time it was almost all from memory.

It was a good day. Miami vs Columbus started at 5:00 and Palmetto vs South Dade started at 7:30. The Don Shula wasn't that bad, I made it in time to see the last couple of JV matches and catch up with old friends. I wasn't the only one to make it to both events yesterday, so did 1 of the guys in the both top 5s Best Ref and Don't want to see in a Bar fight. That's a short list so I'll see if you can guess.

Tonight I'll be center mat for the Southridge vs Braddock match. JV starts at 6:00 Varsity is scheduled to start at 7:00.

Spidey, just sign in at the door and they will let you in for free, but you have to say "I'm Spiderman".

For all the talk about Columbus, only 1 other coach came to scout the match. But the coach/ref section of the Sotuh Dade gym was packed.

KW,

From Memory...

Damn Son that is impressive.

Even I could not boast such mental acuity.

I would have to say the reference you are making to the ref that caught both matches would have to be none other than Dewberry. I cheated though, another insider at Columbus told me that he reffed there, so it could be no one else.

Sounds like quite the gathering at South Dade last night, one of my insiders there tells me it was quite raucous with a large Palmetto contingent to battle the SD crowd. Dominant performances in the light and middle I heard, but what else would you expect?

Visibly absent from the line-ups however were Wilson for Palmetto and Acosta for SD. Do you know what happened Wilson? I did hear about Acosta's troubles, and I heard he was spotted in a sling.

How many people remember it was me that mentioned that SD would be ever more dangerous than anticipated with a surprise middleweight in the line-up? That was back in September if I remember correctly. My sources are the best!

My source tells me Matellus looks smooth as silk, and could be the best wrestler on that team. Of course I am partial to Sanders but arguments could be made for Williams or Baez as well.

OUCH! Add in the studs that are just a notch below, and it's murderers row out there.

South Dade was missing 5 state qualifiers last night.

Vic didn't wrestle the football players, plus Omi.

Not to sure about why Mikey didn't wrestle. His dad was next to us in the stands, but I forgot to ask.

I know how painful it must have been for Balmeceda to kick the crap out of his best wrestling buddy's team.Since I left I hear that Vic and Coach Sabrett have been closer than peas in a pod.Oh well....

Hate to say I told you all so, but I think I called this result before the season even started. Braddock 32 Southridge 29

There were several great match ups, starting with 160
Dyvon Passmore SR defeated Danny Perez 6 - 5. This match featured several great scrambles, but very few points were scored.
171 Chris Lopez Brad pinned Robert Lilly in 5:49. Lilly was in control throught out the first 2 periods. In the third period Lopez reached back and caught Lilly in a head and arm and after the longest minute an a half he got the pin. Lopez was down by 6 when he hit the head and arm.

189 Javoris Plain SR pinned Steven Caballero in :59. Plain looks to be the class of Dade County early in the season.

215 Ervin Chunga SR defeated Nathaniel Jean by a score of 7 - 1. Jean was able to keep the loss to a minor decision to keep scoring to a minimum.

285 McCray SR pinned Richard Gonzalez in :20.

103 Julian Gonzalez Brad defeated Erdman by a score of 8 - 6, in what was a great match to watch. Lots of reverses and several scrambles that almost resulted in back points, but didn't.

112 Anthony Dunn SR teched Julio Fernandez 17 - 0. Dunn scored off several different near fall situations.

119 Match up of the night 2. Gabriel Chandler Brad defeated Ronel Lubin 6 - 4. The difference was when Chandler got his takedown, he was able to hold Lubin on his back to get back points.

125 Match up of the night 3, Joey Morales SR defeated Mario Montoto 1 - 0. Lots of action on the edge of the mat, but not much in the center. The only scoring was when Joey got an escape very early into the second period. Mario was deep on several shots, but he couldn't finish. Joey hit some beautiful firemans on the edge of the circle, but couldn't stay in bounds to score the points.

130 Fitz Rodriguez Brad teched Anthony 20 - 2 in 5:57. Fitz looked pretty good, scored from several different nearfall positions.

135 Leonard Bell SR defeated Fernando Baltadono 6 - 4. Classic match up, Fernando shoots several times, Bell uses his hips to not only get out of danger, but also score.

140 Randy Pineyro Brad pinned Anthony Harris in 1:36. Randy hit a nice shot and was able to catch Randy on his back for the pin.

145 Danny Villabos Brad pinned Jerry Silva in 3:42. Jerry went for a head and arm early in the match, but like most of the matches Danny kept Jerry from scoring off it, he even scored off of it himself. Danny was able to tie the dual meet up with his pin in the second period.

152 Final Match up of the night. Jhonathan Medina Brad defeated William Bell 11 - 6. This match was going back and forth all match long. Jhonathan got the lead late in the third period and was able to ride Bell for most of the period. Medina was even able to tun Bell to his back at the end of the match for the final score of 11 - 6.

Probably the best (most competitive) dual meet I've been a part of in Dade County in the past couple of years (2 Dade County teams). This was right up their with the last 2 South Dade Manatee Dual Meets.

I gotta hand it to you K-Dubs, I didn't think Braddock was going to win this match. I thought they had a chance, but a small one, you nailed it.

I would like to be there for Braddock vs American this Tuesday at Braddock. That will also be an excellent match. It should be close and exciting to the last match. KW make sure to keep us informed and updated with every match detailed. Thanks
