Updated Rankings

The updated rankings are out; unfortunately I only received 7 ballots that I could count as I did not accept the anonymous votes. If you'd like to participate in the ranking process there are three ways you can do it, either post it with a registered name on the Spiders Lair (I don't know what the big deal is you will still be anonymous) or you can send me your private ballot at iamspiderman on the FKu site or to my private email at spiderman_fkn_wrestling @ yahoo.com

All weight classes were not complete because I did not include the names of any wrestlers that did not get at least 3 votes out of the 7.

We will do it again next week and hopefully get a better sampling. Tell your friends to register and vote or to send me private mail, make your self heard and make your opinion count.

How can you say Henry is a kid? He could join the military right now! Years ago he could buy alchohol! The fact is that a lot of heavies start off coming from football, and all henry does is juice up. UMM... I mean drink his juice and take his super vitamins. Yes he may beat people but he brags about being the ONLY sophomore to Place last year. GUESS WHAT? HE WAS 17 years old! People graduate at 17 or at least early in their 18th year NOT 19! Or 28 as spideysorio says. Henry had to cheat to win, he couldnt beat guys his own age last year, so i'll bet he's glad he was held back twice! He taunts people on how he's the best yet he's 2-3 years older than his competitors! It's not right, but Henry's mistake is his cockyness.
Hey Osorio your boy is going down! He needs to stay off of that (apple)juice!

We all know who you are spidey. Your secrets out. Thats how you have to beat Dade and Columbus. By age advantage! How many other of your kids are 18 or 19 years old? Did the previous anoymous hit an nerve? I know how you voted spidey! Unfortunately, not too many people come on this site and slurp on American because we know why you set it up. You talk about South Dade and Columbus so much yet you never talk about your schools corruption!

not sure what or who you are talking about but one thing about Osorio's team is that they are great sandbaggers. Phillips taught Osorio well in that respect. I seriously doubt that Chirino is going around claiming greatness. But hey on that topic, what about Pena? Rio? don't they walk around holding their jock strap above every body else? What about Tico? Kendrick? Rat? Nates? Estopinan? Blue? West? Cupas? I think all of the former state champs have an aura of greatness, cockiness, and arrogance about them. Very few are humble. Come to think of it, Christian Leiva also comes to mind, Franklin, Baldwin, Robbins (the little one), Rat (two years ago), Dominguez (three years ago), I guess cockiness and arrogance does hurt. I see that you are still typing instead of hitting the weights. One more thing it seems to me that others play this game on purpose while Chirino did it simply out of luck. Remember he did not know anything about wrestling until he went out for the team in 10th grade. LIVE WITH IT

Anonymous,

Eric Grajales is 19 as well and all he is getting from it is a full ride to Michigan. Not that he was not a stud two years ago when he could have graduated, but think about this. If he would have graduated 2 years ago he would not have been a 4 timer, he would not be the premier highschool wrestler in the US, and he would not be on his way to a $180,000 scholarship at Michigan. More than likley he would be a Florida boy who won state twice and ended up at Chattanooga if he's lucky. I think Mr. Grajales put his son in the best possbile positions to capitalize and maximize his potential within the confines of the rules. Maybe you are bitter because your son is already in highschool, is going to graduate at 17, is getting his little tail spanked, and you weren't smart enough to do what Mr. Grajales did, or fortunate enugh to have circumstances put you in the position Chirino is in.

Guess what I am doing right now?

I an rubbing my thumb and my index finger together.

They are playing the worlds smallest violin.

And it's playing just for you.

OH! Baby Jesus!

Give me a break!

I am not Osorio for Gods sake.

When it comes to wrestling knowledge past and present Osorio could not hold my jock (no offense to him).

Of course if I were Osorio I would say...

Give me a break!

I am not Osorio for Gods sake.

When it comes to wrestling knowledge past and present Osorio could not hold my jock (no offense to him).

I bet KW, Pardo, and Mahler Are laughing their a$$es of right about now.

AHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!!

That same violin was plaing when your boy lost to a 15 year old NJ kid over the summer. It's funny that you think that he's going to get some major D1 Scholarship. The fact is, that he couldnt compete with the top heavies in the country, Grajales can (regardless of age).

Ricky,

You might actually be dumber than a Nascar fan.

My point was not that Chirino is going to have the same success as Grajales you Moron, merely that Grajales is one great example of a wrestler that benefitted from using the system instead of letting the system use him.

Do not excuse Grajales prowess as an isolated abbreation, it is a common practice at Brandon senior. They know how to do things over there, that is why they regularly whoop everyones ass.

I do not begrudge them this, on the contrary, I look down on those that would knowingly forego the same opportunity for some illogical semblance of flawed ethics.

You are not ethically bound to be better than the law, only as good as it.

By the way, you say it's ok to hold your kid back for an athletic advantage. But then you tear down Balmaceda for recruiting? Poor Spideysorio can't cheat as well as others! Looks like I plucked a nerve out of spideychicken. Take off your mask, we already know!

the only person that will give chrinio a challenge is wethy becuase he is not a fat boy.

Actually Chirino started wrestling in 9th grade and made Varsity in 10th grade.

Chirino weighs like 220 pounds. I don't know why everyone is complaining. Just squish his little a$$ already. As far as I know, he was held back 1 year. There are tons of kids that are intentionally held back a year to receive an advantage in wrestling, but Chirino wasn't one of them. I don't understand why the magnifying glass is on Chirino. I sense bitter jelousy!

IT IS BITTER JELOUSY. HE WENT OUT FOR WRESTLING WHEN OSORIO GOT THERE LAST YEAR.

Anonymous said...

does anyone know the results of the MMA fights that the old south dade heavyweights competed in?

Anonymous said...

If I were Osorio and this was my blog, I would say something like "When it comes to wrestling knowledge past and present Osorio could not hold my jock". Of course you would say that spidey. YOU ARE EXPOSED! You are a hack and a fraud and to think, all this time you talked all of that smack about Balmaceda when all you are is a jealous wannabe.

Anonymous said...

I know a lot of things and many things about this sport, one of the things I know for sure is that Spiderman is not Osorio. Osorio jumped on the scene in 2001 at Hialeah and Spiderman was around before that. Osorio doesn't particularly care about what people think of him or his team he just coaches them. Is he jealous of Balmaceda, well who isn't? 8 State Titles and counting, a great kids program, great staff, great middle schools, and best of all recognition and money to travel to any tournament anywhere. Who isn't jealous?

Gentlemen,

I have grown to like Osorio and feel he is great for the sport especially here in Dade. Like Phillips before him he has rough edges and a crass personality. Unlike Balmecida he isn't smooth, slick, and totally likable. I know for a fact that if he does leave after next year, as he said he is, this sport will suffer. It could barely handle the departure of Phillips and now with Osorio gone they may have to re-district the whole county just to try to level the playing field. Aside from American or HML every two or three years what other team can stand against the giants of the south? It surely isn't fair for Palmetto, Southridge and the likes to suffer losing year after year to South Dade when they could easily win any of the districts of the north. Spiderman, how about a poll on whether they should change the districts and level them out?

Ricky Bobby,

Why don't you register already, I have a really cool avatar for you and everything, it would be nice if every time we talked I knew it was Ricky Bobby and not just another anonymous or a Ricky impersonator.

Anyway Ricky, you caught me, after these long ten years of being anonymous, one brilliant person (YOU... LOL!!!) finally figured it out, I am none other than Ron Osorio, come take me away in cuffs if you must.

See you when you get here.

Wow, there is soooo much hatred for Osorio. I wonder why?

Anonymous said...

Osorio has been around longer than you guys think. That's how much he has you guys fooled. He use to be around when his little side kick Baez use to wrestle for beach. He was sort of Baez's personal coach. He also wrestled for beach under Camaronni nipples. So don't think he has only been around since he started at Hialeah. Osorio + Spiderman = doochbag

Anonymous said...

Even if Osorio is Spiderman, why do you think of him as a douche? Honestly, I believe Spiderman is everybody. I'm very thankful for all of Spiderman's contributions to South Florida's online wrestling community.

Anonymous,

You are the first one to ever truly guess my identity. I am in fact everyone; the voice of the voiceless, the defender and exposer of the truth, the one who can say what you want to say but can't.

Of course it is all embodied in one actual individual, but if I speak for you I am you, though I be me.

I sincerely appreciate your comments and your position, and I think you understand what many others can't even grasp, and that is that the Spiderman is bigger than any one individual.
