Bucs Win But it Was No Slaughter

103 – Hall (SD) ff 6-0 6-0
112 - Harris (AM) pins Mcpherson by cradle in the second period 6-6
119 - Ore (AM) beats Villanueva in a decision 6-9
125 - Montero (SD) beats Cortez by a major 10-9
130 - Perez (AM) beats Rojas in a decision 10-12
135 – (SD) ff 16-12
140 - Metellus(SD) wins by major 20-12
145 - Sanders(SD) wins by tech 25-12
152 - Eddie(SD) wins by pin 31-12
160 - Montalvo (SD) wins by major 35-12
171 - Abeledo (AM) wins by inj. def. 35-18
189 - Castillo (AM) wins by decision 35-21
215 - Wiggins (SD) wins by decision in overtime 38-21
285 - Chirino (AM) wins by pin 38-27

Despite two forfeits American manages to keep it close, a testament to Osorio, his kids and their preparation. It is now more evident than ever that South Dade's off season acquisitions managed to keep the Patriots at bay for yet another year.

SD

I was impressed with Montero for South Dade; he has gotten bigger and stronger and has added some SD magic to his game. He looks to be a force at 125 and could present a problem for someone who thought their ticket to Lakeland was stamped.

Villanueva looks too small for 119, and I would not be surprised to see him make the cut to 112 soon but then what happens to McPhearson.

Metellus and Sanders were their usual impressive selves, both were trying to get SD pins but American was in pure survival mode in these two matches and in both managed to give up fewer points that South Dade was inclined to acquire.

Eddie was not impressive to start, but a burst of athleticism earned him a pin that helped to seal Americans defeat.

Montalvo impressed as well with a vice grip, head pressure, and a series of Near Fall scoring maneuvers that outclassed his opponent for a major decision.

Wiggins was underwhelming at best, maybe I expected more form him but he could easily have lost to a virtual unknown.

AMR

Harris was Very impressive, huge for a twelve pounder and my early favorite to Steal the 112 division, he dominated McPhearson and overpowered his much smaller rival.

Ore was impressive as well as he managed to defeat a more seasoned and more accomplished wrestler, but I feel that Villanueva is better suited for a lower weight class, the problem is where does that put McPhearson who is already small at 112, quite the dilemma for Balmeceda I think

Perez was impressive as well, as much a bruiser as his brother was, but also showed some skill and endurance his brother never had, he will be a force at 130.

Abeledo and King had a violent head collision; it was hard to tell who got the worst of it because King was not allowed to continue due to what might be concussion as the trainer repeatedly checked his eyes with a flashlight before calling the match. Abeledo was having his head examined by the trainers as if he possibly needed stitches. Abeledo seemed the stronger of the two and was well in control and ahead of King when the collision ended the match.

Castillo does not look like much but was able to handle the seemingly more athletic Webster.

Chirino was Frustrated by SD’s heavy for a while but eventually used his superior size and strength to Subdue and Pin the smaller opponent.

Sh!t no wonder Osorio is so pissed off at the acquisitions of South Dade. American really had a shot at a state title.

I'm sorry but the American 215 is not an unknown. His name is Jonathan Concepcion he is ranked in the state in 3A.

Spiderman said...

I said Virtually unknown; a state ranking does not represent any accomplishment. In comparison to Wiggins who is a RETURNING state placer, Region and District Champion, Concepcion is a relative unknown.

The American kid won the Western Tournament last week beating Shawn Henderson of Coconut Creek and Justin Wilson both of who were state qualifiers last year. Who ever Pimentel is one thing is for sure, he is something to recon with this year.

Ricky Bobby,

I appreciate the correction.

In fact you are correct, it is Pimentel that wrestled Wiggins and not Concepcion. So essentially Osorio has a 215 lber on the bench that is nationally ranked but can't break the Varsity lineup in his own schools.

Humm... interesting.

Spidey, your continual slurpfest over American is pathetic and borderlined obsessive-compulsive. It's no wonder people call you out as Osorio. Wiggins had an off night anyway, do you know him? Do you know they just came off of a tough tournament? As for the wrestler with the "Superior Size and strength", well you know the how's and why's. It was nice to see that work for him against an "underwhelming" Willie over the summer who dumped him on his head. Ah, it's great to be here! You needed me to counter your maloderous and rancid bile talk.

Well,
You know who

Oh PS,

Why do you chastise South Dade for recruiting yet encourage or condone parents holding their kids back for an athletic advantage?

Anonymous said...

LOL, 18 years old is not a kid!!! He can vote, join the military, legally do the nasty!!! All while being in the 11th grade. HA HA, I love that Spideysorio has been stood up to. Why is it that a kids family is wrong for sending their kid to a good school that may or may not be in his/her District, but it's ok to holdem back for an athletic advantage?

South Dade is going to get their recruiting asses handed to them when Brandon comes to town. South Dade has to start recruiting out of state for next year if they want to beat American, or Columbus. 8 wrestlers from South Dade belong to Homestead, they live in our area and I know that for a fact. Hall is not going to repeat this year, his father is going to regret his decision and wish he was back where he belongs. Eddie won't probably qualify and will hate himself for leaving as well. What a follower. The kid they recruited from Sunset is another kid that wont be going to Lakeland. And I can't wait to see the Sunset coach's face when his 125 pounder kick his ass all around the mat.

I love it! Veracity in Spideysorios blog! Thanks for all of the support. This site needed someone to combat the biased Spideysorio. Columbus is a great school, how could someone complain when someone sends their kids there for a good quality education? Lets see, hold my son back to become a better wrestler or transfer him to a better school so he would be better ready for college? No Contest. I could care less if someone transfers to S Dade Columbus, American or any other school. But to start college at 20 years old is absurd whoever it is. I was a sophomore in college at 19 years old and graduated at 21. I graduated High School at 17 with 90 percent of my peers. I don't know this kid and wont judge his parents decisions, but I am truly thankful that my kids will graduate at 17 with such a great education that Columbus offers.

What's so impressive about sucking off a ton of weight and dominating a bunch of guys much smaller than you? Sounds like a HUGE 112 pounder running from a twin at 119....

Ricky Bobby, I'd like to present you with the "I'm a Piece of Sh!t with No Life And Nothing Better To Do Than Discredit Talented, Hardworking Wrestlers" award. It was a unanimous vote amongst everyone in the wrestling community except the Columbus boys, but that's probably because you show them some extra "brotherly love" if you know what I mean!

Hmmm..... answer this is you can... How much weight is Gulisien losing? How about Rio? Noffo? Weren't they up by the 150's in the summer, you know when Pena and his comrades were juicing up. Wow, it is the pot calling the kettle black.

Gentlemen and Scum,

I know that we all wandered over to this site for its ability to resist the temptation of editing and deleting post by its administrator. We came here hoping to be free to write what we want and when we want. To express out opinions and thoughts without the fear of being banned. I know that in this great country we are supposed to be able to scream at the top of our lungs our point of view but we must also sit quietly while others do the same. All that being said I am sure that we can all agree that Ricky Bobby should be banned from this site. Although that may not be totally possible I do feel that attacking any underaged kid or a participating wrestler from any school is wrong and immoral.

I did check my ISIS computer screen and found that Henry Chirino from American is 17 years old. He is in Advance and Honors classes and will be eligible to compete for American next year.

That being said, the personal attacks from Ricky Bobby and anonymous must stop. It is one thing to attack a coach or a school it is another to attack a wrestler. There has to be a line there that should not be crossed even with the cloak of anonimity.

Spiderman, as administrator of this blog you should not allow personal attacks on kids and I would seriously consider removing any post that may attack a student. I know that any written material which offends or demenes a person can and is considered libel and is punishable by law. Tracking systems are always in place to track when and where blogs are sent from. You should do this just in case Ricky Bobby or anonymous, which may be one and the same, is found out. We would not want legal actions taken against this site.

Hey Spiderman, didn't you say that South Dade would outclass American. What happened. South Dade was caught off guard since they were preparing for Brandon right? Come on now Spider there has got to be a reason. You were there right in the middle of the action gives us more details this was great. I wonder if Columbus, since they are going to kill American, has a shot at beating the Buc's? What do you think oh wise and knowlegable Spider.

125 and 130 are the toughest weight yet.. 125 getting dominated by the twin and 130 by southwest.. Perez wont beat southwest at 130. But the 130 of south west is going 119 he might have hes way clear still having colombus and maybe southmiami with there tough 130..

i think thats the whole point everyone is making about columbus. they go and wrestle lesser competition when they could have gotten in on dist 16. they'd have wrestled clay, brandon, st thomas, american, south dade and many more solid teams. wheres the pride in wrestling down?

explorers maman tranca de caballo.

Anonymous said...

who cares about the coral park duals

Anonymous said...

What I think is hilarious is that Columbus will lose the majority of the matches and then still come online and keep talking nonsense. Thanks for being so funny, delusional Columbus supporters/wrestlers!

Anonymous said...

Thanks Columbus! Ignorance can actually be pretty funny!

YOU GUYS ARE EXTREMELY MISTAKEN FOR NOT PUTTING FRANKLIN ESPINOZA FROM MIAMI SUNSET ON THAT LIST

Spiderman said...

WOW!

Lots of chatter over the holidays

I'M BAAAAAAACCCKK

Those rankings are overrated. Can we now have some accurate rankings, updated with all of the results from the holidays? For instance, Espinosa is the second best 125 pounder, hands down and his name is not even mentioned. The druggie Pena from Columbus is at 152, he's probably on crack now. Rumors of Starr dropping to 152 makes that weight class interesting. Harris running away from the Chandlers and putting McPherson to sleep in a cradle. Guzman, top 4 at 112, what a joke. Ranking little Gulesian over Tuner, the HML kid regular weight is around 150, he's going to destroy little Gulesian. Villanueva from 2nd in state at 103to probably not even qualifying, did they recruit someone they shouldn’t suppose to? Didn't the SW 130 beat Gulesian, where is he on the rankings? Didn't the HML kid at 140 beat Santiesteban, where is his name? Ranking Parrado over Ramirez is a mistake, that kid would have been a two timer if it wasn't for Sanders. More shocking rumors of SD playing with their line-up, Webster to 171, King to 189, Montalvo running away from Starr and moving up to 160, and dropping Eddie to 152 so he can qualify. I also heard that Am. has a tranfered that they are going to use at Regional, so no one can challenge them. Spiderman, please fix those individual rankings they are horrible and touch on those rumors. Thanks
