The Match started in the perfect spot at 112.
112 – Harris completely dominated Noffo 7-0, like I said in my preview, Noffo would do well not to get pinned so from that point of view, he did his job.
119 – Guervich actually battled enough to make it interesting I expected more from Ore but Gurevich was pumped by the atmosphere and had a good showing.
125 – Borges wins decision over Cortez in a match that was pivotal. To tell the truth both wrestlers seemed sluggish and this match was blasé.
130 – I was way wrong on this one, I thought Perez would give Gulesian a run and maybe even beat him, but Gulesian was dominant and Perez looked like the Sophomore he is. Props to Gulesian.
135 – Rio pins as he was supposed to, and is looking more like big Brother Mike than he ever has before, I can’t wait to see him in the G.M.A.C.
140 – Nodar gets Columbus a Major and looks good but I would have preferred to see him against Santibanez.
145 – Santibanez toyed with Hidalgo and earned American a much needed Major decision at this point. He looks good in his return and I anticipate he will be down to 140 by G.M.A.C.
152 – Decision for American, neither wrestler is very memorable, but that seems to be the theme for 152 this year.
160 – Pena moved up in a nice strategic move by Columbus and looked tough but could not get the pin needed by Columbus to stay in the match with Columbus’s week spots coming up.
171 – Abeledo dominates and gets a big 5 with a tech to bring back the Patriots.
189 – Castillo earns a big Pin for American as expected and here come the Patriots.
215 – Columbus forfeits and word in the Gym is that Abadine calls it quits so don’t expect to see him again with a Cross on his back though he may hence carry one on his shoulder.
HWT – Chirino dominated the entire match despite the score, he was never in any jeopardy of losing this match. The official for some reason refused to call stalling but I got the impression if someone rolled a basketball across the mat he would have called traveling on Wethy. Wethy did have one thing that worked really well, his reverse gear.
103 - American Forfeits! Nice ploy by me to get them to think I was going to pull a rabbit out of my hat. Problem is my rabbit is too fat.

Jake is looking real good. If he's at 130 he'll have to go at it with either Locksmith or Nereim to make the finals and both would be hard for him, but certainly beatable. If he goes to 135, that would be a lost cause, he'd be cradled and pinned in whatever round he met Baldwin. Jake is their best shot at a state champion this year, he needs to be pushed by competition though, something a little lacking this season in Columbus once again. I'd hate to see that recruitment class from a few years ago leave high school with just some state placers. At least get a state champ in there, what was the point of going to Columbus/Husk anyway?
2 cautions in the refree postion and your opponenet gets 1 point? correct?
gman
3 cautions and you ran around asking everyone that last night. Haven't you been coaching wrestling for years?
Anonymous,
Jake does look good, and I agree with most of what you said, it is nice to have at least one objective Columbus supporter here, thanks for the input.

Anonymous,
Is that was he was asking about last night. Seriously, you'd think he'd be better informed. The point obviously comes with the 3rd caution, not the second.
Columbus coaches losing there touch. Last night was proof. I have a feeling this is Husk's last year, and then all of his following coaches will leave also. The next coach for Columbus? The black guy sitting on their bench
Dukes coaching Columbus?
Maybe..
I think he would be qualified, it would be a great choice for them.
husk will be back. sights already set for new blood. what does spidey sense say?
In case you didn't read my previous post Spidey, I copied and pasted.
LOL Spidey, I am not Phucker. I'm just waiting for our discussion about the poll that you created in my honor. Congrats to Americhicano on their big win. I trust that you got them back to their retirement home on time? I would also like to wish our good friend (The American HWT) a happy Birthday as he turns 18 this month! Must be special being a junior in High School at 18. He can now vote, go to certain strip clubs, register for the draft etc. While most of our team will graduate at 17 1/2, three quarters of Americhicano will be 19 going on 20. As a matter of fact, our wrestlers will be sophomores in college when certain wrestlers will be graduating HS enroute to their education in landscaping technology.

BOO HOO, whine, whine, and keep whining. Oh, my opponent is too old. My opponent is too strong.
Or, my sons opponent is too old (even though within the rules), it is not fair. I am at a disadvantage.
It is not fair, IT IS NOT FAIR, IT IS NOT FAIR, it is not fair.
Stop Crying you fairy!!!
Sure attack the kid who has never set foot on a wrestling mat before last season. Just give chirino his props for developing into a dominant wrestler even during his first year and give osorio his props for coaching him into the very wrestler he is now.
but spidey idk, i think American was slacking a bit in their win over columbus. they just didnt seem as explosive as they have in the past during this match. i was looking at osorio during pts in the match and he didnt seem to be pleased with how he and the patriots were winning. maybe he wanted to completely gut columbus but who knows he never really does look happy during a match.
-GB
GB,
Not sure who you are but I agree with you. I think Osorio wanted to gut Columbus like the fish they are. I also agree he never looks happy out there. Lastly, I don't think those American kids went to any tournaments during the break which may account for their sluggish wrestling. ON the other hand Columbus just came from beating Manatee and a host of other teams so they were primed and ready. If Columbus wanted to lay claim to being the second best team in Dade they fell short, way short.
Think of the match ups they will face against South Dade. I seriously doubt they will win a single match. Wethy, if I were you I would worry about Willie going up to heavy just to spank you. Rio, don't worry much Metellus will not run from you. Gulisien, you will have your hands full with Rojas. Pena, well you know how you do against South Dade. I just hope you make it to the second period this time. Noffo, Mcpherson is waiting and salivating. Wonder what excuse they will use to explain that loss.
WOW your kidding right? You have ta be freging kidding. You punks lost to a better coached team with better kids and a better program and you still come on here talking trash? You are incredible. Any hope you had to be considered a worthy addition to this blog just went out the window. Lesson for you in coaching and wrestling, American has been around for two years (last year and this year). They have two or three seniors on their team so that means that most of those kids have yet to reach two years in this sport under the new coaching. Columbus, aside from their recruiting woes, have had numerous years to set up a team that can dethrone South Dade and have come up short time and time again and American came close to beating them in their second year. It must really suck to have all that money, that great wrestling room, brand new warm ups every year, seven coaches, and wonderful other things yet SUCK. I can't believe you are still talking crap. You should just hide your face in shame and cry.
Just thought I should repost this for your viewing pleasure. Keep crying boys and huddle together in the analrectory cause here comes the "DIRTY SOUTH" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH
If your old enough to vote in the 11th grade, you might be an Americanchicano wrestler.
If you're old enough to live on your own and attend parent teacher conferences, you might be an americhicano wrestler.
If you think juicing is something you inject to make your weewee smaller, you might be an americanchicano wrestler.
If your lifelong dream is to have your own landscaping company at 19 1/2 years old when you graduate high school, you might be an american wrestler.
If you go from bench pressing 150 pounds to 350 pounds and your peepee shrinks in 1 year. You might be an Americhicano wrestler!
If you graduate from High School at 19 or 20 years old to get an athletic advantage, you ARE an AMERICAN HS WRESTLER!!!

correction, American only has one senior, 189 lb Castillo.
and artist if you knew anything about American and the surrounding area, about a quarter of the kids walkin into that school as freshmen are 16 or turning 16 maybe even more.
GB
GB, you make a good point. However it seems when a team suddenly starts winning age is a factor. I didn't hear people whining and complaining 5 years ago, even 2 years ago when American probably had a few "older" wrestlers but were a middle of the road team at best in Dade County. Now, suddenly age is a factor.
These complaints about American is nothing but folks who are sore losers and must justify defeat at all cost.
American EXPLORED Columbus!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-HHHAAAAAAA, HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recruits, accusations and complaints = 3rd place!!!!!
You got out wrestled! Stop the moaning before somebody steps up and takes your lunch from u!!
B!ATCHES!!!!!
Age is almost always a factor you tards. If you're trying to say it makes no difference than you are a moron. Just look at Brandon where all of their freshman are 16 years old and Grajales (their Senior) is 19 just like Americans HWT when he graduates. Are you saying that it makes no difference? The top 3 hwt's in 3a last year were the same age as the American heavy and they graduated. He needed to be held back to have the advantage over Wethy and Viniegra. Thats the only way half of Americans wrestlers can win. They are all OLD!
All,
There is one simple theme here. Before American won Columbus was second only to SD. Too strong they said, too much talent, too many seniors. After American summarily dismissed Columbus it should have silenced the Phuckers but instead of graciously accepting the truth instead they seek dirty rags to lessen their pain. I guess assumed intelligence does not coincide with humility and grace. One of my favorites movie lines from "Jaws" says it all. Quint tells Hooper after he fails to admit it was the shark on the line "You Harvard boys aren't educated enough to admit when you are wrong."
OUCH SPIDEY!!!!! It probably hurts some folks feelings, but you are right on.
It's almost like the dirty politicians. If they cannot win based on the issues and start falling behind, they start slinging mud and try to discredit their opponent or opponents.
I could only summarize it with two 2 old words "SORE LOSERS".
THE WATCHER
Gulisien will wreck Rojas. You gotta be joking that his hands will be full...

When the poll is over I will discuss it.

Spidey, you put up my poll and you lost! Why not dicuss it? Just like you like people to guess who you are, I like the same anonymity. I like the video though.

I don't care how old anyone is. If they don't have the same experience and years of wrestling under their belt, they're at a graver disadvantage. When I found out Chirino didn't even have 2 years of wrestling under his belt, I was in awe. Osorio have proven time and time again that they can produce the State's top heavies. Stop taking credit away from Osorio and Chirino. Their accomplishments in such a short amount of time speak for themselves.
I believe Chirino is his top hwt product. His tenacious style of wrestling is very entertaining. I usually hate watching the typical sluggish 285's go at it, but I actually enjoy his matches.
I personally think it's very cowardly to attack a hard-working wrestler on the internet just because he's good. Would this be happening if he sucked? I doubt it. Eric Grajalas is #1 in the nation because he has an age advantage? Stop your excuses and stop attacking wrestlers through the internet, you bitter cowards.
I can understand why some of you might be bitter. Especially when a team full of nobodies built from the ground up whoops on another team full of wrestlers that began their careers when they were toddlers. But lets not lose focus on who is getting away with murder this season. My kids work hard because I work hard. Live with it.
You haters are a bunch of losers and clowns. Have some class and enjoy the talents of these great athletes. If you want to criticise the coaches, fine but if you trash the kids, you will be getting it from me Chicago style.

Gov. BLAGO YA BITCH,
How much can I pay you to use your influence to change that 19 years 9 month rule. I don't want my prep son getting bullied by bigger and stronger wrestlers. I want him to have a fair match with kids his age or younger. Yes, younger.
Also, can I influence you to do away with those good coaches that build good wrestlers so quick. C'mon, it is making some people look bad.
Come on Blago Ya Bitch, tell me the price.
To show I'm not such an SOB I am donating some of my hair to the Balmoceda Hair Fund.It should be enough to cover his head and ass cheeks. No thanks needed.
